During the past National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday from Oct 1 to 8, Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area buzzed with energy as the main urban area and scenic spots welcomed over 1.3 million visitors — a 31.14 percent year-on-year increase. Lin-gang's nine major business districts saw total turnover of more than 80 million yuan ($11.23 million), up 78.71 percent year-on-year.

Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park and Shanghai L+SNOW Indoor Skiing Theme Resort were among the most popular tourist destinations in Lin-gang during the holiday.

Haichang Ocean Park staged nearly 200 performances and interactive events, featuring firework shows, traditional cultural parades, mass sing-alongs, and a National Day-themed water show that kept the festive atmosphere in full swing.

The L+SNOW ski resort hosted Shanghai's first International Snow Sculpture Expo. The city's iconic landmarks were recreated inside the snow world, turning 4,000 cubic meters of fresh snow into a breathtaking ice-and-snow display.

The China Maritime Museum also embraced its maritime cultural heritage, offering maritime defense education and a captivating light-and-shadow craft journey.
